Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library reorganized in September of 2013. Adding to their purpose of supporting the library as needed, they are taking on the task of helping to plan entertaining and educational programs for the community.

Meetings & Members:

We meet as needed, and welcome all to become members.  Please call or email the library if you are interested in joining and we will make sure you know about the meeting dates.
 
 

Anyone can become a Friend!

Friends of the Traer Public Library was Established in 2004

Original Purpose of the Friends:

Help library by raising funds for anything the library might need, including books, videos, audios, equipment

Money raised through fundraisers, membership fees, Used Book Sale

Provide volunteer help as requested by library

Help with programs and public relations to keep the library prominent in the community

Advocates and supporters of the library

 

Current Purpose of the Friends:

Assist the library in developing programs

Assist in promoting knowledge of and participation in library programs

Aid in providing funds to meet special library needs

Provide a channel to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Funds raised from Used Book Sale go to the Friends

 

Membership:

Open to all individuals and groups who support our purposes.

If you would like to support the library monetarily, for a $100 donation to the Traer Public Library Foundation you can have the prestigious distinction of being a Lifetime Friend of the Traer Public Library!
